About our rescue
Daisy’s Café includes an animal rescue of pets that have been provided to us by the MN Animal Humane Society. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun and friendly experience for our customers to learn more about the benefits of companionship from pet adoption.
The café and rescue provide an in house experience that allow customers to build relationships with rescue animals and to provide a platform for adoption. We also strive to create a guilt free social experience for customers to spend time with rescue animals who may not be in the position to adopt.
Rescue protocols
We recognize that rescues are not the solution to companion animal overpopulation. As such, our focus is to create a rescue experience for our animals that provides for their well-being during their duration with us while we work to find loving caring families/homes for them.
Toward that end we have developed a strategic partnership with the MN Animal Humane Society. Our partnership will be multifaceted and will work closely with them to ensure that our rescue practices are aligned with their protocols and that we are providing a healthy, safe and loving environment for the pets they place in our shelter.
We will also work with them closely on the socialization of rescue animals prior to any social interactions with customers or other dogs so that we ensure our animals are emotionally capable and able to engage with others. We will also be collaborating with them on all veterinary services or urgent medical needs of our rescue animals.
